The PDMOST project has developed a set of assessments to study the effectiveness of a variety of approaches used in K-12 science PD. We hope professional development providers and K-12 classroom teachers will use the results of this study and our assessment instruments to enhance professional development experiences.


What features of professional development programs are the most
effective at improving teacher knowledge?

We found several aspects of PD programs that were associated with improved teacher subject matter knowledge and knowledge of student misconceptions.
